Move Sisterhood Statue
Donation protected
Five years ago, a local artist donated a life-size sculpture to the Women's Museum of California. It is called "Sisterhood" and so perfectly reflects the community work we do here at the Museum. At the time we had no where to install the sculpture. Now, finally, we have a beautiful home and the perfect place to house "Sisterhood". However, the cost of moving the sculpture from its current place to our museum is more than we have in our budget.
If we don't move it soon, it will be sold at auction.
We have identified a professional sculpture mover who will do the job and guarantee its success.
We need to raise the funds to pay for the move and for a commemorate plaque recognizing the donors who helped.
If successful, we will hold an unveiling party and all will be invited to view "Sisterhood" in her new home.
