Maria Anifowose taught English to students in private school in Nigeria. Each day, she walked through her own neighborhood where children struggle to get 3 meals a day to get to the students in the more affluent neighborhood. Her dream is to open a school that allows the children living in the very hard circumstances she understands a chance to learn English and better their opportunities for education and success as adults. 7 years ago Maria won a scholarship to attend the Ultimate Life Summit in Orlando, Florida because of her work on a transportation project for Nigeria. In July of 2017 she was granted another scholarship and returned as a leader of the same conference in Atlanta, Ga. At the conferences, Maria met April who was a speaker from Oconee County, Ga. Today, Maria lives with April and her family. She has just completed her third year of school, making the presidents list every semester. A degree from the USA will give her the credibility to start a school in Nigeria and help children have a hope. Would you help support her dream to graduate from college in the United States.
