Seton Sands Field Community Ponies

Hi folks - Shona's field buddy Mags here.

As most of you will know, it's been a horrible year so far for the field, with the sudden loss of Shona's best boy Paddy & big Jack's best girl Lauren within a week of each other - plus others requiring vet advice or attention: Indie with colic, wee Mac and Rocket with laminitis, and big Jack who continues to present us with various injuries to his legs and undercarriage. Only yesterday, after being scanned by the vet in his field shelter, he had to be taken to the Dick Vet hospital with 'foreign bodies' lodged in his undercarriage requiring surgical removal and a couple of days hospitalisation (we think splinters from scratching on overhanging broken branches from Sandy Walk - which have whacked up and gored him).

On top of all this we've had lockdown - a strange time for all and extremely sad time for many. But with Links Road Garage as an essential service and Shona volunteering with the community resilience team - we've all mucked in to muck out!

Field funds however are running low as our vet bills keep rising. Hesitant to ask or suggest - but if anyone is able to help out with a wee donation - either to our online GoFundMe - or handing in to garage - that would be fantastic. We appreciate there are many worthwhile causes out there who are also struggling and looking for donations at this time - so fully understand if folks can't manage - don't worry.
