Saving hedgehogs in the Aire & Wharfe Valleys

Fundraising for Hedgehog Emergency Rescue, Bingley, Yorkshire (HERBY) for at least £1100 per month (We are in our third month of this fundraiser so targets are updated accordingly, thank you to everyone who has donated so far).

Please share our fundraiser and encourage others to help we are also looking for some very local volunteers to cover the following: fundraising, mucking out, sorting newspapers and paper bag sleeping bags for the hedgehogs, we also need some science volunteers checking poo samples this will suit trainees and people interested in being a vet or working in biology.

The rescue is full to bursting and therefore needs more funds than usual. Thanks to your help we managed to clear our massive vets bill. The vets do with their best and often donate their time for free or at a discount but we still need to pay for medications and emergency care.

It is baby season so there is a lot going on and we've had a higher number than usual of patients staying longer than the average due to longer term conditions such as injuries, ringworm, treatment resistant parasites and births (sometimes they are here longer for a happy reason).

We are always grateful to every single person who helps no matter how small or large. Supportive messages are gratefully received, these buoy our volunteers and make for a happier team.
