Restoring David Burns' House
Please help to try and restore it Please help me to reach my dream somehow... I know I may be foolish but its my dream... Can you please help me in any small way.... the minum is $5 and fees are deducted on my end.
It is my fantsy dream and hope that it can be restored
Just a wild fantsy to restore it to its some what original state but there are those who tell me it is impossible... maybe it is and I am just not ready to give up hope for it to me it is admitting to defeat and failure...
At times I wonder why I am so set on saving the old house - but I feel I got to its all I have of those years to show for those years of my life.
David started bricking in 1959-1961 and stopped when 1st wife died...
His famous words since 1972 I'll finish in the fall then when fall approached it was I'll finish it in the spring... neither came and he died on 23 August 1990... a littl e about David he was a very interesting and unique man - he loved the community and Lake Maxinkukee.
Now I am left with the restoring of the house of things done to it and not done to it over the years the house is 114+ years old and goes back to the Hawk family, then Hawkins and to the Burns family in which name its been since March 9th 1944
But just recently I found by a newspaper quip in the local paper the "Culver CItizen" dated in Oct 1940 that the family moved into the house the 1st week of October 1940 - so they may have just been renting - to buy or with the option to buy that house.
Please help my make my dreams and hopes come true... I want to restore it fully and hope also to move back into it if only for one day before I die....
Humor an aging old woman in her dreams....
You can follow the progres of the adventure here
t is possibly 112-114 plus years old!!!! By the documentation found thus far - The history of the house
