Safety sleeper for Gabriel
Donation protected
My little boy Gabriel was diagnosed with Smith Magenis Syndrome when he was almost 3 months old. It came as a shock to us all. He had heart surgery when he was only a few days old and we were at his check up appointment with the cardiologist when he dropped the bomb that the genetic test came back positive for Smith Magenis Syndrome.
With the syndrome comes behavioural problems, cognitive impairment and self injury. As well as significant sleep problems. He wakes a lot throughout the night and for long periods of time.
He is now approaching 3 years old and we have to think of getting him a bed. Problem is, he will not stay in bed and the safety sleeper will give us all peace of mind that he is safe in bed. It will also allow us to go away on holiday as a family and keep him safe at night.
Gabriel is a beautiful little boy and I wish we could provide everything he needs but we need help for this special bed. We will be grateful for any contribution at all. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
