Run To Barcelona

Hi my name is Julie - I am the Head Coach for SWCP United football club.

SWCP stands for South West Cerebral Palsy - all the players have CP or associated conditions.

The club is made up from players age 15 and over - the majority have been playing for the club since they were 12 years old. The club plays and trains in Bridgwater and the players come from all counties in the South West of England and make a huge commitment in traveling to sessions.

In June 2022 the club have entered the 1st World CP Club Tournament which is being held in Barcelona.

Thus trip requires a significant amount of fundraising and the players idea of a Run To Barcelona is just one funding avenue to raise funds. The distance by car from Bridgwater to Barcelona is 1085 miles / 1746km. The players therefore will be clocking up the miles between Christmas and the end of March  and would welcome any donations to help them achieve their target.
