Restore Cherry Beach Stairs

A group of us are starting a volunteer effort to restore the stairs at Cherry beach in Harbert, MI.

We are working through the Park Board but seek funds and labor from volunteers.  I am presently the Chairman of the Beach Access Committee.

Plans were drawn up and submitted for board review at their meeting on June 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
We received approval from the board contingent on obtaining funds and approvals of the Zoning Commission, Fire chief and Police Chief as well as the Township Board.

This is not a slam dunk as we need to get various approvals to ensure safety.
If approvals are not obtained the money will be refunded as appropriate.

Please share with friends of Harbert Beach and Cherry Beach in Chikaming Township, Michigan.

Once complete we will have restored access to Cherry Beach for the entire community.  We so far have a small group of volunteer and would greatly appreciate both financial and carpentry support one we begin.
