Raising funds for Nikki to replace lost furniture

I have set up this go fund me page for my Friend Nikki & her family. On the 5th of August a fire started in her neighbours loft which quickly spread & subsequently took part of Nikki's house with it. The fire crews did save the house from going up completely but in doing so everything inside is water damaged & obviously smoke damaged. On the 24th August Nikki had to attend the house with surveyors to whom told her the house is structurally unsafe & her family will not be able to return for the foreseeable future. On inspection herself Nikki was/is devastated to see the extent of the damage to her belongings, carpets, sofas, clothes & all fabrics are still wet after 3 weeks & are going mouldy. From the extent of the water damage we can only assume all electricals are damaged too. Nikki has spent the last 3 years using credit cards & working hard building a home for her family. Nikki is self employed & this year has been a difficult year for her like many others. Due to covid19 in lockdown she was only receiving income off of 2 customers which kept her ticking over to pay her rent & feed her family. She was advised by the invome team at Optivo to stop payments on everything else which she did & that included home insurance. Nikki was advised to claim off of the neighbours insurance due to the fire starting in their property but has recently been informed the lady cancelled her insurance a couple of days before the fire. This has had a massive impact on the family. Only a week before the fire Nikki was told she has severe emphysema which in itself knocked the family sideways, 2 of Nikki's children are ASD & are really not coping since the fire. In general this devastating event has impacted Nikki & her family emotionally & obviously financially.
