Walking for Education

Our event “Walking for Education” is to raise funds for tuition assistance, so no child is denied a quality catholic education due to financial difficulties.   Every year we have to turn away families and we want to be able to enroll all students that have the desire to come to St. Mary’s Catholic School.  Please consider helping us with our goal to raise $100,000.00.  The “Walking for Education” will take place on April 28, 2015 and all of our students will participate to raise money for tuition assistance.

In the speech Pope Benedict gave to Catholic educators on the subject of Catholic schools he said, Their
(Catholic Schools) long-term sustainability must be assured.  Indeed, everything possible must be done, in cooperation with the wider community, to ensure that they (Catholic Schools) are accessible to people of all social and economic strata. No child should be denied his or her right to an education in faith,  which in turn nurtures the soul of a nation.

To further help us reach our goal, the students of St. Mary’s Catholic School will be participating in “Walking for Education.”  This new event will be held April 28th on our school campus.  Each student will be challenged to do their part and gather sponsors.  Won’t you help us reach our goal?

Catholic school is an investment, and yes there is a monetary cost to parents, but the end result is clear:

Catholic education is priceless.
