Please help send our team to the championships

Every year WA builds a team to represent our state in the Ivor Burge Basketball championships for people living with a disability.

They train for months in the hopes of being selected. Their dedication to the sport has given us another amazing team with a real chance of competing against the strong teams sent by other states.

Being selected to join this amazing team and represent our state in such a prestigious event is a reminder of the mental and physical strength our athletes demonstrate. Building on this, the event provides many opportunities for our team to further develop, not only their physical skills, but their personal ones as well. The social skills, bonds and friendships formed here can last a lifetime and their value in every aspect of our team members lives is immeasurable.

These opportunities unfortunately come with a price tag, which distressingly could cause some of our chosen athletes to be unable to attend. We are hoping to raise funds to distribute amongst the team to reduce the costs to each athlete. With support from our community this will allow each of these mighty talents to showcase their skills and grow both as a team, and as individuals, and represent WA in the state championships at Mackay next year.
