PCT Thru-Hike American Cancer Society Fundraiser

Hello, as you may well know, my name is Jaden Dietlein. I am currently hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and am getting to experience something that many don’t have the privilege of doing. It is truly a blessing to be able to financially and temporally do this. With that being said, I believe that I want this journey to bring about positive change not only in my own personal life but also have an impact on something that is bigger than myself. I may have started the PCT for understandably selfish reasons, I would like to continue on for a larger cause. This idea is not original as I have received it from another hiker named Hopper. I wish to hike for charity if at all possible. The American Cancer Society seemed appropriate considering my past history in 2020 with testicular cancer. By the grace of God I am now three years removed from that and can/have told others that it was a good experience. I can saw that because all of the treatment from the loving nursing staff, loving family and friends, and the prior research into effective treatment allowed me to go through it with a positive mindset. If I can do ever a little bit to pass on that idyllic experience in a less than ideal time than I would be overjoyed. As for the amount stated in the goal, I have chosen $2650 because it represents my own goal of hiking 2650 miles from the Canadian border to Mexico. Donate according to what you believe you are called to give in your heart. I’m happy and look forward to continue my walkabout, now with a larger cause.
