Pat’s Fight

Donation protected
On Sunday 21st July, Pat’s usual Sunday sesh of golf took a turn for the worst. After loosing a fair few balls on the first few holes alarm bells rang. After this unusual day and some minor changes in himself the couple of weeks before this, off to hospital he went. A CT scan followed by an MRI scan showed a cyst on his brain, the news that was feared the most. A biopsy was done and a long 6 day wait for the results showed Pat being diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer that was very aggressive. The size, position and aggression of the cancer has made it inoperable. Pat can no longer work as he has already lost mobility on his right side making him wheel chair bound 90% of the time. Everyday life has become a struggle, with Renee caring for him and their 3 girls full time, meaning she can no longer work at this stage either. Pat has started both chemotherapy and radiation in the hope they can shrink the tumor and stop it from growing any bigger. He is receiving treatment daily.
Family, friends and the community have asked how they can help so we are reaching out through this page to help them with the ongoing medical costs, living expenses and additional costs they’ll come across making the house accessible for him in his wheelchair.
