Operation Fit Nation: OPERATION 1 MILER

This year, Operation Fit Nation is planning our first back-to-school virtual one miler event to promote healthier lifestyle choices for the members of the L.O.U. community and participants across the country. This event, “Operation One Miler,” is designed to promote healthy behaviors for children while encouraging safe, socially distanced community fun.
Due to the ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, we are encouraging participants to get active while following community regulations regarding social distancing. We are asking participants to donate a minimum of $5 in order to register for our event, during which they will complete their one-mile active goal. For every $10 we receive in donations, we will provide one "Fit Bag" to a youth in the communities we serve. These Fit Bags will include back-to-school and wellness items, healthy snacks, and promotional materials from our sponsors. It is our goal to promote health-focused decision making for children in our communities. We believe that starting kids on a healthy path in their early years will help us to make great health the standard for generations to come.
WHERE: You Choose The Place!!
WHEN: Can be done anytime between 7/27/20 - 8/2/20
HOW: Participants can walk, run, bike, swim, skip, etc. to get their mile in.
Registered participants will have a chance to win PRIZES including a kids scooter and bike, adult headphones, and Nutribullet blender.
