My tribe is powerful and the village of unity I have in my life is a blessing. It is very hard for me to open myself up to accept, as I am always the first to give and I feel I am not good enough to receive. Today this changes as people have asked and opened their hearts graciously and I understand I do not do justice taking away that feeling of “giving” from someone else….

In 8 weeks I get to tackle the hardest race in the world, the SPARTAN ULTRA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SWEDEN. It is a 24 hour race with the winner determined by who gets the most mileage. The course is made of laps, ranging about 8 miles per lap with 35 obstacles each round. After completion of each round you get a chance to take a breather, and I am beyond lucky to be able to have family and support crew to help guide me through this. From there, you either go again, or you don’t. 24 hours later, we get to see who is still standing. I can promise you this: I will be on that course for 24 hours with a personal goal of 60+ miles and a top 3 finish in my age group. Knowing who I have supporting me, the fight will be made until this is complete.

My dream came true earlier this year when I qualified by finishing in the top 3 in my age group. As this date approaches, I realize that I do need my tribe in more ways then one, and if I can ease the financial burden slightly, I can focus extra hours on training, verses at work. From travel, to required gear, to the race itself, everything from Alaska cost a pretty penny.

Every dollar that is donated, I will be doing a “spartan burpee” on live Social Media, as well as donating 50% of funding to the “PARA SPARTAN” foundation that gives the disabled the ability to be able in spartan racing. Anything over what I still need will be donated at 100%. I could never accept without giving back. As I grew up with a brother that was paraplegic, this foundation serves to my heart as disabilities are no impediment, and is my true drive on why I do what I do.

For anyone that donates, my Spartan Ultra jacket will be engraved with your name (upon approval) and fingers crossed I do well enough that it will be shown on ESPN during race day coverage. My heart is full of gratitude for anyone that even opens this go fund me and takes the time to read my message. I will be making a Facebook group to document the next 8 weeks of my journey and will have my full trip documented to the fullest.

I am only as strong as my tribe, and knowing who my tribe are, watch out WORLDS, this girl is coming for you!!!!
