Mom's Mobility Fund

When I was growing up, it was just the 3 of us—my mom, my brother and myself. Mom didn't have much in our one-bedroom apartment back in those days, but she had us boys—we kept her going. I remember Mom used to work 2 jobs to support us and make sure we had enough to eat and had presents to open on our birthdays. Sometimes she wouldn't eat just so us boys had food in our tummies. Those were the last good years of her life.
In 1985, my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Since that time there's been a gradual wearing out process that has slowly taken her mobility and her joy.
Because my mom sacrificed so much for my brother and I when we were little, it seems she was robbed of her happiness. Now that she has a 10-month grandson, I can see the joy in her eyes every time she sees him. She lights up when she's around that little guy.
More than anything, I'd like to give my mom her freedom back. Or at least a way for her to be able to get around. She can drive and hobble with a cane, but requires a scooter. Because her left leg is the one giving out, her right leg is fine and she can drive an automatic.
My goal is to empower my mom to get around, and especially empower her to come see her grandson any time she likes.
Our goal is to raise enough to get a scooter lift and a newish used Jeep that can hold her scooter. Her current Jeep is 15 years old and is giving out. It's only a matter of time before she's stranded somewhere.
Please help me bring the joy back into my Mom's life by giving her the gift of mobility. Thank you in advance!
