Michelle's Lifesaving Treatment

Michelle is 56 years old, she is a mother of four and grandmother to five children she is so very proud of and who love her to the moon and back.  She is a hugely loved sister, we would go as far as to say the glue that holds us all together.

Michelle has spent her life dedicated to working with children and families with emotional and behavioral issues to help these families reunite. Michelle not only supports families in need but also supports a staff team who she helps guide and develop their amazing work ethics and practices who support one another and in turn support the families and children we care for.

Two years ago we discovered Michelle, our beautiful, full of life, full of character Michelle, had bowel cancer. With secondary cancers in her lungs and liver - our world fell apart.  But anyone who knows Michelle will know she is the STRONGEST and most POSITIVE person you could ever imagine. And she brushed aside what the medical teams told her were her chances.

She changed her diet - purely alkaline, she started an extreme B17 regime and has refused steadfastly that give up or even acknowledge giving up as an option.  She has endured a major operation to remove the original tumor and months of chemotherapy, refusing to give up work or let her team down throughout, and in the breaks has thrown herself into living her life to the fullest and having as many experiences with her husband, sisters Tracey and Debbie and her beloved grandson Moo Moo.  She has NEVER given up. We are insanely proud of her. 

A couple of months ago everything changed, Michelle got the news that the chemotherapy has stopped working and she probably wouldn't be here by June.  Again she fought back and as we write this on the 21st of June she has pushed forward is still here and has now through sheer determination found out about options that can offer her the chance to keep living and keep being there for her children, grandchildren and family.  Only one big problem those options cost over £60,000.

Michelle has never asked anyone - even her own family - for help in any of this but right now she has never needed our help more. NOW she needs us, like never before and time is of the essence, the clock is ticking.

With this money Michelle could have brand new life extending chemotherapy treatment and ground-breaking and 'Life Saving' Liver replacement surgery abroad, a procedure that is not available in the UK either on the NHS or otherwise.


We know have many of you love Michelle like we do and we ask you do dig deep.   Without this treatment and surgery Michelle will have months to live.... help us save her life.  Its that real. As simple as that.
