THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! Like an Egyptian Bennu fusing cosmic essence with a Grecian Phoenix, the Vortex has divined a new location right here still in our fair city of San Francisco!! Right now construction is underway for a better, stronger, faster center for the darkest in cinematic arts, but we are urgently in need of your assistance to make it a fully operational Vortex! Our goals include building a home for its one-of-a-kind 5000 plus film archive, creating a new VORTEX ROOM cinema viewing room and continuing to be ground zero for scrupulous film enthusiasts in this city and the world over! With daily news of San Francisco’s struggling underground art community, this is a potential story of glorious rebirth. The Vortex shall rise from the ashes again! We have a space secured, but design and construction are taking much longer than expected.
