Kaleb's Medical Expenses

May 22/23, 2014 was a turning point in the life of my son, Kaleb. He was 18 and his first year after high school wasn't exactly turning out as he had planned. He had gone away to college the previous fall, and he was so excited. A talented musician, he had dreams of earning his degree in music and the possibilies were endless. After a very successful few weeks, things were changing and he just wasn't himself. He wasn't doing well, and came home before the first semester was over. After some time, he started having headaches and they became worse over the weeks. After a doctor visit, massage therapy, and two ER visits, they finally did a CT scan and discovered an anomaly on his brain. He was sent to Swedish Hospital in Seattle and in the early morning hours of May 23, we were told he had a tumor on his cerebellum. Within hours he was in surgery, and the tumor was fully resected! Soon we learned that the tumor was called medulloblastoma, a highly aggressive form of cancer. The following months brought daily trips to Seattle for radiation, chemotherapy, MRI's and doctor visits. He had a few bumpy times in the hospital with fever. Through all of this, God has blessed us with many answered prayers, wonderful specialists, the finest treatment, and family and friends who have been there with meals, gas cards, Starbuck's cards, and all means of emotional and spiritual  support. We have been blessed! Kaleb is now a 19 year old young man, who doesn't need to start out his life with such enormous debt. He is weathering treatment well, and looks forward to pursuing his dreams once this is all over.  He has so much life ahead of him! We are truly humbled and blessed by all the love we have been shown. God has been faithful to bring us through so far, and I know He will be faithful through the end of this journey, and beyond.
