Memorial Fund for Henderson Family

Kimberly Henderson was driving her 10-year-old son Luke to Judo practice like she did every Tuesday and Thursday. Luke was asleep in the back seat when a driver suddenly veered into Kim’s path. In an attempt to avoid an accident, Kim rolled her car down a steep embankment, coming to rest on a guardrail 20 feet below. An off-duty EMT reacted quickly and pulled Luke to safety, but tragically, Kim was pronounced dead at the scene.

An incredible mother, wife, and community volunteer, Kim spent her days working as an accountant, and her evenings and weekends camping, hiking, “cross-fitting,” and pursuing a life-long passion in martial arts with her family. She touched everyone she met—there were no strangers. Kim laughed heartily, loved completely, and was a continual source of strength, support, and happiness for her family and friends. She always gave of herself willingly whenever others were in need. She and her husband raised an amazing young son, wise beyond his years. She made each of us want to become better people.

With your support, this fund will provide services for Luke and Paul as they begin a new life without the mother and wife they loved and depended on. Funds will also defray costs for short-term household services such as cooking and cleaning, as well as transportation for Luke to continue Judo practice while his Dad is at work.
