Joseph Moore of Beaver Island MI Memorial GoFundMe

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved father, Joseph A. Moore, on October 16th, 2023. We will need help in the days and months ahead as we prepare to lay him to rest according to his wishes.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, a good friend to many, and a teacher to many more during his decades of service for Beaver Island Community School (BICS). Joseph also dedicated decades of service in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) on Beaver Island, MI and started the journey of many current healthcare workers due to his advocacy. He published a book, Rural EMS Is Different, and was Editor of Beaver Island News on the ‘Net which his late wife, Phyllis Gregg Moore, had started decades ago. Joseph also provided music for every Island church that needed it.
