Hi all, my name is Jacky and I’m reaching out to you to tell you about my friend John. John is one of the funniest people I know (he’s a comedian for real for real). He was recently diagnosed with Bone Plasmacytoma in his C4 vertebrae. Unfortunately, this is not a laughing matter. Bone Plasmacytoma is a bone tumor that forms in plasma cells and is most common in the spine. Bone Plasmacytoma is more common in men and are most common in African Americans. There are no known causes which is why Plasmacytoma is such a rare disorder. His symptoms vary as the tumor is located in his vertebrae. John was hospitalized mid June and has been out of work since. He is currently undergoing treatment to blast the Plasmacytoma as it is currently causing excruciating pain, weakness, numbness in his back, arms and legs and makes anything but lying down difficult. John is one of those people who uses humor as a coping mechanism and rarely asks for help. And this is where I step in. As John is currently out of work, medial expenses are piling up. Insurance can only cover so much ya know? Not to mention daily living expenses. My hope is to raise money to help alleviate some of these daily stressors. John should only have to worry about recuperating. Any little bit helps and we appreciate all your help and prayers. A share of this campaign also means a lot.
