Jessy's Story

Hello my name is Jess and I grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire.  Like many 18 year olds , I was eager to high tail it out of New England and go down to a more sunny and warm state for college. After graduating from high school in 2007, I packed my bags and started ,what I would consider, four of the best years of my life at the University of Tampa. In Fall of 2008, I joined the Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity and became an active member. I even had the honor of serving as President of the fraternity during my senior year. After graduating with a marketing degree from UT in 2011, I decided to go back home to New Hampshire to live with my parents. Luckily, soon after moving back in, I was able to secure a job at an advertising agency where I worked for a year and a half before getting a job at an international retail company based in Boston. I loved my job and loved living in Boston even more. But unfortunately, on February 21st, 6 days before my 25th birthday, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). I am asking for a $1000 donation which will go towards the cost of treatment and various other expenses resulting from my diagnosis. No contribution is too small. Since the moment of my diagnosis, my daily trials and tribulations have certainly changed but I'm still the same girl with the same zest for life. Your help will ensure that I continue to live a life full of love, laughter, and energy.
