ICKSP Preston: New vestments for a new priest!

Donation protected
Hello, I’m Deacon Ryan Post, an American seminarian of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. This year, I’ve been at St. Walburge’s in Preston, where I’ve been completing my studies, and teaching at St. Benedict’s Academy.

This Summer, on the 4th of July - American Independence Day! - I will be ordained a priest by Cardinal Burke. Later in July, I will be coming back to Preston to sing a first Mass at St. Walburge’s.

However, St. Walburge’s is lacking a solemn set of green vestments. Three green maniples are the only remains of the solemn set that the church used to have, with all the other pieces having been lost in the past 50 years... So while there have been a sufficient number of clerics to have Solemn High Mass every Sunday, on the majority of Sundays, due to the lack of green vestments, we have had to just have sung Mass.

So we have made enquiries into getting a green solemn set for St. Walburge’s, which we have been told would be ready for Sunday 14th July, when I will, God willing, be singing Solemn Mass here at St. Walburge’s! Also it will mean that on most Sundays in the future, we should be able to have Solemn Mass for the glory of God! St Walburge's was made for the grandeur of Solemn Mass!

Can you help us?! May God bless you for your generosity.
