A Vehicle For Tim

Hello, and thank you for reading this.  I've not wanted to ask for help, but I need to. I'm a disabled US Navy veteran. I have prided myself in taking care of my family. However, last winter my heating system and my water heater died. Here in Maine, winters are cold and long.

I was able to get assistance from Habitat for Humanity, but it's a large loan, and though I am able to pay it back on time, it leaves us without money for a car. The money I was saving up for a vehicle went to replace the water heater, and now towards the  loan for the heating system.

My daughter and I (I'm a single parent) don't have any vehicle at the moment, and have been relying on taxis and the city bus for our needs. That money could be better used for a vehicle.

I need a car to be able to get around, as my mobility has been quite impaired, as well as to travel to doctor's appointments at Togus VA Hospital, and the VA hospitals in Boston.

I can assure you that anything we receive will be put towards the most efficient and reliable vehicle we can afford, and your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
