Marathon, not a sprint, 2020. 

It's coming up to a year, 
Since the big race day, 
Wanted to show gratitude, 
In a special kind of way. 

Today I ran solo, 
A full 26.2 miles, 
Felt so very different, 
With no crowds going wild. 

This year I will collect donations, 
For our NHS heroes sadly gone, 
Nothing can ever replace them, 
But their legacy's must live on. 

We are never alone, 
Even though we must stay apart,
Show love & kindness to all,
And keep these heroes in our hearts.
