In the heart of San Francisco, the CREATE skateboard shop stands as more than just a retail space—it's a hub for the city's vibrant skateboarding community. Facing financial challenges, this beloved haven for skaters is at risk of closure.

To ensure the survival of CREATE, passionate members of the community have come together to launch a spirited fundraising campaign. Their goal is not just to save a store but to preserve a cultural cornerstone that has fueled the dreams and aspirations of countless skateboarders. Enthusiasts, local artists, and even professional skateboarders have joined forces, organizing events, designing limited-edition merchandise, and reaching out to the wider community through social media campaigns.

Since opening our doors in October of 2019 CREATE has always been a safe place for artists and skateboarders to join in creative expression. In March of 2020 just five months after opening our doors we could've never been prepared for a global pandemic. We invested our live savings into the newly opened store and had no idea what was going to happen. CREATE had to pivot and pivot quickly. We decided to launch a live stream channel on Twitch.tv/live_from_create with the help of the SF Nightlife community we managed to weather the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic. We received very little help from the state or federal government "We're not a big corporation". At the end of 2022 we stared to see foot traffic decline and Christmas/Holiday was non existent for numerous retailers around the country. We thought we might see a boom in traffic in the summer of 2023 and with the construction in front of the store on 6th Street taking more then a year, it didn't allow for much foot traffic at all.

We are asking for help with our goal of 20,000. It's about 4 months minimum income for our small business. Unfortunately we don't qualify for the Federal ERC tax credit because we are a family run business. This GoFundMe will help us keep the lights on. Purchase new products and keep the door open so we can continue to serve the community. We offer a space for people from all over the world. Over the last 12 years CREATE has given to the skate community & the night life community through free events and product give-a-ways. During the pandemic we produced live streams for different clubs and our own. We are working with other resources to ensure CREATE not only survives but thrives. Thank you for your consideration.

This digital extension of CREATE not only amplifies the shop's influence but transforms it into a dynamic space where the worlds of skating, art, and music converge in a celebration of creativity.
