Help Sammy overcome the battle of a lifetime!

No words could possibly describe the absolute heartbreak that was felt by all when Sammy was recently diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer with a secondary in the bones and told by doctors that it was not treatable.

This was a complete shock for everyone, an amazing husband to Charmaine, a HERO to his two beautiful children Marley & Ashia, a best friend to his brother Ben, a wonderful Son to Ken & Lorraine, a friend to many, a big influence in the community - previously a coach for the Noosa Tigers, a member of the Noosa Boardriders Club, and a person who has touched many of our lives in one way or another.

I'm sure we all thought the exact same thing... how could this be happening to someone with a heart of gold like Sammy?

Anyone who knows Sammy or has ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with him in life would know that he is one of the most kind hearted, genuine people that you will ever meet. He is incredibly optimistic and positive, and has always lived life to fullest. He would be the first person to take the shirt of his back to help someone else and never takes a single moment for granted, someone who really sees the light in every situation and the best in everyone, his smile alone is enough to brighten anyones day.

When I read through all of the comments left on Sammy's page after it was announced these words appear over & over again about Sam - LOVE, STRENGTH, HUMBLE, GENUINE, LEGEND, INSPIRATIONAL, POSITIVE, SMILE & HUGE HEART.

To see such an amazing person go through such a devastating battle & be in crippling pain but still keep smiling through it all is a real testament to who Sammy  is as a person, always smiling through the good, the bad and the really tough times in life.

I don't believe there is any doubt in anyones mind that Sammy can & will get through this, because this world needs him, Charmaine, Marley & Ashia need him, his family need him, you & I need him - there is no other option but to battle this out and come out the on the other side smiling.

It's in times like these that coming together can make a real difference to someones life. Sammy & Charmaine are working tirelessly to find every possible way to overcome this hurdle and are determined to beat this.

Unfortunately Sam had cancelled the TPD component of his superannuation 8 months ago which means he will not be able to claim TPD - there wasn’t any contributions &  the fees were eating into his super so to preserve his super he made the decision to cancel it.

We want to reduce the financial stress for the family so they can purely focus on finding alternative treatments and source international treatments that might be available. The race is on and we want to give this beautiful family every chance there is to live out life's most precious moments together.

The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it.

Let's get Sammy back into the waves of the Ocean -

"Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink in the wild air"
