Today, Please Help Low-Income Students During Coronavirus.
Raise money to help me purchase components to build inexpensive yet powerful PCs for our community!
All students have currently switched to Online Classes but many low-income families do not have access to a computer to complete their homework. With our school district Senior Director of Procurement and Technology, Amy Nichols, verifying that they are in need of such devices, it is confirmed that our community needs these more capable and powerful machines. Many programs such as IDE's for computer science classes cannot be run on Chromebook operating systems, thus not allowing those students to be able to engage in various projects and assignments. Among other things, Windows 10 PCs are powerful and capable of running any software that is outside of the Chrome browser, which Chromebooks are limited to. With your help, we will build however many computers to donate to our community that we raise enough funds for!
Each PC costs around $430 USD including a display, keyboard, mouse, and tax. Please Help Our Great Community Today by Donating as soon as possible! Anything helps!
