Help bring the Noire Wedding Edit to life!

My name is Ofe and I'm the founder of Studio Oudizo , a boutique wedding stationery and design company. I've worked in the wedding industry for five years and I love it- absolutely love it! Unfortunately, it hasn't always felt like the industry loved people that looked like me back. In wedding media, blogs, and social media feeds, black and brown faces are noticeably absent. Many black couples will tell you of the struggle to find themselves represented in the images they see. Black vendors too struggle to be seen and heard in what is a very white-washed industry. We are often told we/our work "don't fit the aesthetic". So I took it upon myself a few years ago to use my tiny platform to showcase other amazing black owned wedding businesses. I created a highlight on my Instagram page  with all the black owned wedding businesses I knew. Every time I found a new one, I added it to the list and my list grew and grew.  A few months ago, I realised this wasn't enough. These amazing, creative, passionate businesses deserved a better platform to showcase their work, so I started building the Noire Wedding Edit. The Noire Wedding Edit is a directory for design-led, black owned UK wedding businesses to showcase what they do. A space where they don't have to struggle to be seen or heard. It will be a celebration of black love and business excellence and a great resource for anyone looking to hire amazing vendors for their wedding or event. It will be completely free to join and I hope to keep it this way forever.  However, I will need your help. I am hoping to take this as far as it can go and give these businesses as much exposure as possible so I will need to cover PR and marketing, website costs, hosting fees, etc. Every little donation and share will help.
