Gear Up For Owen

UPDATE: We have met and exceeded our goal!
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Gear Up For Owen such a wonderful, resounding success. The kindness and generosity displayed by the Ridgewood Community, GWMS staff, and the Ridgewood Boys Soccer's "Dawn to Dusk Soccer-A-Thon" (Saturday, September 5th, 8am-4pm @ RHS Stadium) has been amazing! Thanks to your efforts, the Betrus family can provide Owen with the necessary adaptations for a safer, happier future.
Anyone still interested in contributing to Gear Up For Owen should contact Laura Grasso ([email redacted].nj.us) for more information.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In many ways, Owen is very much like any six year old child. He is happy, full of life, and energy. Like all children, he is curious about the world around him. Owen enjoys daily adventures with his family and friends. His favorite times are spent exploring with his twin brother, Liam, and baby brother, Quinn.
Owen also happens to be diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual Impairment, and Intractable Epilepsy.
As Owen grows, so do the needs for adaptive mobility equipment, modifications to daily lifestyle, and appropriate vehicle options.
Join the teachers and staff of George Washington Middle School (Ridgewood, NJ) in raising funds as we "Gear Up for Owen." Our goal is to raise enough money to help our colleague, Rob Betrus, and his wife, Beth, finance a rear entry ramp adaptation for their minivan, providing much-needed safety, security, and ease of transportation.
