Funeral for Cody Blackwell

Dear Family and Friends,

 

On Monday, December 13, 2021 around 5:30p.m. heaven gained a angel named Cody Blackwell. Cody was a sophomore at Northern High School. He would of been 17 on Monday, December 20, 2021 and dreamed of owning his own auto garage one day. He loved fishing with his dad when they got the chance. He touched the lives of all those around him wherever he went and leaves behind a host of grieving family and friends, more specifically and importantly a truly heartbroken mom, dad and brothers, who I am making this go fund me on behalf of.

 

 

 

 

Today, after school, Cody got a ride from a neighbor to join his girlfriend in prince Frederick where she was getting her nails done. After, her mom drove the both of them back to their house to hang out. On the way home from his girlfriend's house Cody rode in the rear passenger side. Everyone was wearing seatbelts. They were turning at Rt 4 and Calvert Beach Rd  when a pickup truck was driving with a green light, the car Cody was in ran the red light and was t-boned by the truck. Cody took the brunt of the impact. The Prince Frederick Rescue Squad was there within moments. They immediately went to cutting Cody out of the vehicle. It was a struggle because the seatbelt was locked and tight. They immediately went to trying to bring him back. The Deputy handling the accident, said the workers worked extremely hard to try to bring Cody back, but even after all their efforts they were unable too. He died on impact. He didn’t suffer.

 

 

We are absolutely devastated by Cody's passing and want to give Cody the memorial service he deserves, to honor his memory and say our final good byes. All funds will go to the funeral and burial services and will be updated on this link as events are scheduled.
