Savin' Aven

Aven Beatty was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia this past June at the age of 14 months. He has had multiple surgeries and procedures, and has spent months in the hospital recovering. Since he was bedridden for several weeks he has lost muscle tone and can no longer walk or swallow thin liquids. He was released from the children's hospital sept 2nd to the children's rehab center for occupational, physical, and speech therapy. Aven went home sept 10th, but went back to the hospital the next day due to too much calcium in his blood. He went home sept 21st! Aven will continue chemotherapy over the next three years and will need additional surgeries down the road. We are extremely hopeful Aven will be cure and the doctors believe we will achieve that!
