Ellorie Jacobs Benefit Fund

On Tuesday night, (10/7) - Ellorie didn't want to eat or drink anything and was super fussy, so we brought her into the ped's office on Wednesday morning. They did an x-ray of her stomach to find some sort of mass. You can never prepare yourself for the word "Cancer."
Before we could catch our breath, we were sent off to Minneapolis Children's Hospital for further testing. After a battery of tests and scans, Ellorie was given a catheter to relieve her bladder. Then we waited....With our minds racing/wondering what it was and how advanced it had become.
The diagnosis of Neuroblastoma came as a result of increased catecholamines in her urine. A byproduct of the kidneys filtering out excess adrenaline produced by the cancer.
Additional testing was required to determine the stage of cancer and appropriate course of treatment. Early on we had hoped that it could simply be resected. The surgeons opted to shrink the tumor first. We were then scheduled for 8 rounds of chemotherapy. Each round lasting 21-28 days depending on how her body responded to the chemo.
After spending 2 weeks in the hospital with her, we finished her first round of chemo and were released to go home. We had to learn quickly how to administer medications at home. She was given a "Hickman" catheter, in her chest, to which we'd be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and administering drugs daily.
She has been blessed in that she has responded to the chemo well. Side effects have been minimal, and she has developed somewhat normally, through this process.
Kari and I are writing this, as she is getting an MRI in St. Paul to determine her progress. We are hopeful that the chemo has been effective and that she may be able to have her urinary catheter removed.
In the end, Kari and I have come to realize that we cannot do this alone. The generosity and love from our friends and family is overwhelming. We are moved to tears as you all have asked how you can help.
Here is one option: We are not sure how we will be able to make ends meet. There surely is no price, as to which we would pay, to make Ellorie well. With that said, we can't even estimate what this means financially.
Currently, we are paying for medical benefits, out of pocket, as we are both not working. Any monetary amount will be much appreciated. Prayers, thoughts, and positivity are needed as well.
We also have a benefit fund set up at Wells Fargo. You'll need to go in person to donate, but will be able to at any branch in the U.S. The fund is called, "Ellorie Jacobs Benefit Fund".
