A New Home for Toni Wood
Mother of the late MOTHER LOVE BONE singer Andy Wood
Toni Wood is the 72-year old mother of the late Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood.
She lives in a 1968 single wide trailer on Bainbridge Island in Washington state.
When it rains, the water pours in through the ceiling into the dining area. The wiring in the trailer is also in need of repair.
She is using extension cords in to bring in electricity to rooms with dead or non functional outlets. The wet conditions and the extension cords are dangerous.
Toni still works as a private care giver and collects a small Social Security payment every month. It is hard for her to make ends meet these days as she is also taking care of her son while he is undergoing cancer treatments.
Toni has spent her life caring for others. She has a heart larger than life and a spirit that is bright as the stars.
Former Mother Love Bone manager Kelly Curtis has joined Mother Love members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament to help raise money to purchase a new home for Toni but more is needed.
