J&BG Memorial Scholarship Fund

St. John Neumann School, a Ministry of Peace of Christ Parish, is a Pre-K to 6th grade school that after years of Catholic school consolidations in the City of Rochester, N.Y. remains as the only Roman Catholic School on the east side of the city.

The J&BG Memorial Sholarship Fund was started in 1988 by a long standing St. John the Evangelist Church (Humboldt St.) family in support of the then parish school. In 2005, that school merged in consolidation to create the Diocesen operated St. John Neumann School. In 2011, the school was reverted back to the parish of Peace of Christ by the Diocese. That year, 2011, the Scholarship Fund was expanded from private family contributions to a fund opened to all donors in order to meet the greater tuition assistance needs for what is both a parish and an urban student population. A large majority of students attending need financial assistance in order to be able to afford this faith and values educational institution.
