Doug Hopson Memorial Fund

As most of you already know dad fought hard against the Covid 19 virus for several weeks. After many days on a ventilator and an ECMO device he passed away. The care he received from his team of doctors and nurses was unmatched. The compassion they showed our family knowing we couldn't be by his side was even more amazing. He is gone way too soon and before anyone expected, but he left behind a lot of friends, good memories, and a loving family that will miss him.  The type of care dad needed near the end was very specialized. 

If there is one thing that dad worried about, it was making sure his family was provided for. In lieu of flowers for his funeral service we are asking those who want to give something in his honor to consider donating to help offset his end of life expenses. Please don't feel obligated to donate. In fact, if dad were here he would tell me to "take that thing down", but I know it would make him feel a little better to know his memory was providing for his family one last time.

I'm sure he would be proud to see how many friends and family members loved him and to read all the beautiful things people have written and said about him.  So on behalf of the man that was always right no matter how wrong he knew he was, and who probably uttered the words "you're crazy" to the people around him at least two or three millions times in his life, Thank You!  Dad was proud of all of you!!!

If there is anything left over after his end of life expenses are paid we will setup an education fund for his grandchildren Braylee and Carter.
