David's Walk for Charity

David Forbes, is a well liked and respected former Wing Commander in the Armed Forces and was Deputy lieutenant of Manchester for many years. He works tirelessly to support local causes and was presented with the prestigious M.B.E in recognition for his services.
David has raised funds previously for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, by walking four to five miles each morning and sponsors have encouraged his walk by making donations.
David would now like to continue walking to raise funds to support the Mayor of Rochdale Charity Appeal.
The Mayor, Cllr Billy Sheerin is delighted that David is willing to do this and hopes people will support the cause, which in turn will help raise much needed funds to support charities as: Rochdale Springhill Hospice, Parkinsons UK, Rochdale Shopmobility, Leakaemia UK, Rochdale Veterans, Rochdale Heartbeat and many other local charities.
David's target is to walk 500 miles starting in Jan until end of April and he hopes to raise a total of £2000.
