David Ackerman Christmas

For many years, I have presented an innovative Christmas concert.  Performing a mix of holiday classics and sacred favorites including "O Holy Night" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", the audience is transported to a gentler time.  I am blessed to say that many have made this concert a part of their annual Christmas tradition and it is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.  

In the past, this special evening is recorded and the live performance is available the following year.  

My hope, and my desire in asking for help with funding, is two-fold: This year, for the first time, I want to record a Christmas album in the studio and have it be available before Christmas.  Making it a studio album assists in producing a project of the highest quality and ensures its availability for the entire holiday season and beyond.       

I also want to be able to offer this year's Christmas concert for free.  We have been through lean times and know firsthand how difficult it can be to find quality, free events to attend.  Christmas, especially, should be a time of grace and mercy for everyone, regardless of their circumstances.  

My Christmas concert contains beautiful music with voices raised in wonder at Christ's birth and the true reason for Christmas.  It is also a haven for a few hours from what can be a harsh world.  It is meant to be gift for all.   

Being an independent artist, undertaking projects of this magnitude can be challenging financially.  Your partnering with me means that I would be able to pay the talented musicians with whom I work what they truly deserve and would help me to make my concert accessible to all as well.  It would also help me to realize the desire of having a new Christmas album project, completely different from those before.
