BEWDLEY SCOUT GROUP NEEDS YOUR HELP

 

Scouts has been part of the community in Bewdley for nearly 100 years. Bewdley Scout Group is based at the Scout Hut in Spencer Avenue and has over 75 young members aged 6 - 14. The leaders at Bewdley Scout actively engage and support young people in their personal development empowering them to make a positive contribution to society, undertaking new and challenging activities.

 

The Scout Hut was built in 1951 by local people for Bewdley Scout Group.  However, the building itself is now in need of a lot of maintenance, repairs, modernisation and  safety upgrades, so we can carry on Scouts in Bewdley. 

Leaders and their families have been working tirelessly to do all the vital repairs and modernisation of the hut. We have replace and moved the kitchen, modernised the toilets and replaced washing facilities, painted, installed new heating and bricked up windows.

We have also had to have vital electric works completed, along the way having unexpected issues costing more than we had planned. 

We are so close to finishing the work needed to welcome the children back to scouting. Our aim is to have the hut completed and usable again by Christmas.
