Badger Cub Incubator

Valentine the badger cub has come in to our care at around 1 week old. He is in a borrowed incubator and so we are fundraising to buy our own incubator for Cubs like Valentine in the future and for the care he will need from here on out. 

Our friends at Mr Lumpy and Friends were called to a sow badger under a shed locally. She had given birth to 2 Cubs and sadly one was dead. When they returned to investigate further, there had been 3 Cubs, but only Valentine had survived and Mum was nowhere to be found. After consulting with badger experts up and down the country, HPBG decided it was in the best interest for Valentine’s survival that he be brought in for rearing as his mum wasn’t there to provide what he needed. With the 2 other Cubs dead, his chance of survival was so low if left and so he is in our care. We are struggling to fundraise because of the coronavirus pandemic and need help now more than ever.
