The founding and establishing of the (All) Christian Archive will not be possible without your support. This Christian Archive is for the preserving of the WHOLE of Christian heritage. (Full Motto is: Preserving the Whole of Christian Heritage, for the Glory of God in Christ Jesus, for the Sake of His Body, the ‘Church’ (which includes all Jewish/Messianic believers too).
Such an Archive NOT Each Christian denomination and educational institution that exists that has an archive is like an island, a relatively small island, in the whole sea of Christian heritage. Christian heritage is Christian parents raising their children in the Lord, table prayers, family devotions, church and worship life, and Christians living the faith in the word, serving, witnessing, and engaging in the public square. There are millions of stories, for everyone has not just one story, but hundreds of stories through life, and only a fraction of them are preserved in a real Christian Archive, though many or conveniently and sometimes quickly told through secular social media giants who do not actually care about any of the stories but rather to make money of all these crowd-sourced stories. Christian heritage happens every Sunday around the world when Christians worship and every day when Christians share their faith, let their light shine, and help others. There are so many stories happen every day around the world and so much of it is not being told and preserved and will be lost if not preserved in this Archive. Do not be fooled by the secular social media giants in coaxing you in to telling your story, falsely promising to preserving your story. These are lures to leverage all this crowd-sourced data to make lots of money off your personal story. We, the Righteous Ones of God on Earth, cannot relegate to the godless ones such a holy duty they do not even deserve to possess!
This Christian Archive wants to preserve the whole of Christian heritage of individual Christians which does not yet officially exist until now or soon without your held. Other Christian organizations with archives are mostly all institutional archives and their main scope of collections is to collect on their own institution.
This Archive will be Independent and it is necessary to be independent so as not to be controlled by any one or group of churches or denominations. This Archive will be Faithful to all its collections and to all who deposit collections and stories, and “faithful” means that its being operated with best archival professional practices not just as a ‘job’ but a holy duty in glory to Christ’s church. This faithful perspective recognizes that the some of the best practices are actually principles founded upon the Bible. For example, the strong theme in the Bible of ‘remembrance’ from the beginning when Scriptures began to be written down was an impetus to write them down. And once they were written, then to preserve them. There is also a wonderful subtle theme throughout the Bible that there are heavenly recorders of all events, including events that happen on the Earth, and things are preserved in writing).
This Archive will be open to all Christians. None will be discriminated. When we say this Archive is for the Whole Body of Jesus, we mean it.
This Archive will be Permanent. Its Constitution and Bi-Laws will have built into its essence that it is established for all Christians, for individual contributors. It is independent, not controlled by any one or group of denominations, and that is will be established in perpetuity, its collections and its organization.
In its first stage, this Archive will be operated by the small business A USA PPP LLC, owned by the founding Archivist, until the nonprofit organization A USA Preservation is established.
The founding Archivist is well qualified, having an MSLIS degree with a Special Collections certificate, a Museum Studies graduate certificate, and an M.Div. degree, and has some archival experience first in a state archive/museum collections facility, then a two-semester internship in a large downtown church’s archive the church’s Heritage Committee, and some additional archive practicum experience working on his MSLIS degree.
I have myself been collecting for this Archive for over twenty-five years, most of them unknowingly, but now am donating many records and resources I have collected to this Archive (church albums, records, many church bulletins, newsletters, church and para-church magazines, mission organization newsletters, Christian media newsletters, sermons, Bible studies, etc.)
Funds are needed immediately for a web developer to development the site: www.allchristianarchive.org, and funds are needed for marketing, advertising, and sales around the country. One-time, short-term, and long-term funders are needed, one-time and short-term to jump-start the Archive, and long-term to help in sustaining it. A major source of this Archive in the sustainability plan is for many churches coast-to-coast to donate to the Archive as a part of their annual budget. The is the main goal of the ‘marketing’ and ‘sales’ plan. There is also a goal of getting a dedicated server for running the website and all the digital collections. This will also require an IT service professional to set it up and do periodic routine maintenance. And there will be costs for computer, software, security, archive/collections management program. Finally, this Archive needs a real home, a recognized facility for such a person, not a person’s home. This is a major step which will take substantial funds and financial commitment, even if starting out leasing a relatively small office space of, say 18’ X 36’.
Your contributions mean more than the world to me! Just think how important this Archive is not only in preserving Christian heritage, but it is a permanent WITNESS of believers in Jesus Christ on Earth. And think about this. Some Christians might think, “Well, its good for now…until Jesus returns, then we won’t need it.” Think again, brother or sister. Think not just of yourself, but that this Archive, even if/when Jesus comes to rapture His Church, this Archive will be a bulwark of faith and witness of the Lord Jesus Christ such that many left behind on the Earth can come to faith too as they read the thousands, maybe even millions of testimonies in this Archive.
