Paying Tribute to Matt Milam

As many of you have probably heard by now, my dad, Matt B. Milam, died tragically on Monday, November 16th. No one plans to lose a loved one, and, as you can imagine, this has been a shock to our family and his countless friends.
Because I am his next of kin, the responsibility of planning and paying for his funeral falls on me. I’m sure you can imagine that a woman in her 20s is not financially ready to take on such a large burden.
Many of you knew my dad and will miss him as much as I will. If you feel inclined and are able, I would covet your financial support. If you are not financially able to help, our family would be honored if you would keep us in your prayers.
As the Grateful Dead says in their song, “He’s Gone,” there’s “nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.” We love you so much Dad. Rest in sweet peace.
