Liver Transplant, Christopher Vasquez Jr
Donation protected
Christopher A Vasquez Jr was born on 12/09/2013. At his 4 month checkup he was admitted to the ER @ Texas Children's Hospital. After his blood test and his ultrasound we were informed that our son has Biliary Atresia 1 out of 18,000 kids have it. This is something that 1st time parents wouldn't want to hear. Our son needs a liver transplant before his first birthday. We our reaching out for support to our family, friends, and vendors as this is going to be a long journey for us. Wells Fargo Bank has setup Christopher Jr with an account so that all donations will be used for his medical bills. Biliary Atresia is a rare, life-threatening childhood liver disease that affects 1 in 16,000-20,000 infants shortly after birth. There is no known cause and no cure. This disease is not hereditary. In order for infants as my son Christopher to survive he must undergo a major life-saving operation for a Liver Transplant. Biliary Atresia is the leading cause of liver transplantation in children. Christopher will be in and out of the hospital for the rest of his life having operations, procedures, test and scans to monitor the disease and ultimately keep Christopher A Vasquez Jr ALIVE: As of 4-30-2014 Texas Childrens has added Christopher to the Liver Transplant list ...
