Welch Home Destroyed: Rebuild & Replace

Today, on my sister Kate Welch's birthday, a terrible accident occured that destroyed her family's home and killed their English springer spaniel, Henry. An out of control truck crashed through their entire house, ruining everything in its path and ending up in their backyard. Luckily, Kate, her husband Brian and their daughter Lauren were not home and are safe. However, their dog Henry, a rescue dog from TJ OConnor, did not survive. Kate and Brian's home was one of many in East Forest Park horribly damaged by the tornado in 2011. Lauren and Brian were home during that tragedy and survived. The tornado left behind physical damage, financial stress and emotional devastation - and the car crashing through the house today is even worse, if that is even possible. What are the chances that this would happen to them when they have just barely recovered from the tornado? Kate, a nurse at Mercy Medical Center, and Brian a Special Educator in Wilbraham have dedicated their careers to helping others and in their personal lives Brian, Kate and Lauren go above and beyond to help family and friends. This GoFundMe page is an effort help them cover the costs of being temporarily homeless as well as to rebuild and replace what insurances will not cover.
