Support Jeff Weinstock's Cancer Care

My dad, Jeffrey Weinstock, was diagnosed with stage IV glioblastoma brain cancer (more info here) in August of 2013. Already forced to leave his passionate career as a photographer just a few years prior at an early age due to extensive back surgeries, this newest event has turned his life even more upside down. The list of surgeries and future ailments forced him on Social Security and Disability which was barely enough to cover life before the cancer.
Grandpa Jeff decided the only way to go forward was with a dedication to fight as much as he could and to be closer to his family, especially his granddaughter, so we moved him from Portland, Oregon to Baltimore, Maryland. Here he has received great care at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but with great care comes great expenses. Additionally, while being on disability, Medicare is the only affordable health insurance option but with Medicare comes less coverage. With medical bills and only a small disability living stipend, finding affordable assistive/nursing care has proved our greatest challenge during an already stressful and traumatic time. As awful as that sounds, it's the unfortunate truth of the society we live. Here is a man struggling with the inevitability of death, yet he and his family's biggest worry is if he will consistently have a roof over his head that provides the amount of care he needs.
Through all of this, Jeff has remained his quirky, funny, passionate self. We have tried to concern him with as little of the financial burdens as possible, but with his disabilities progressing even further, his care needs have increased, as has his cost of residence. We have sold as many of his personal items as we can to assist to make his rent each month; however, we are out of resources. What we do have, is a large collection of his photography.
