Help Sofi Garcia's Kidneys!

Sofi Modesta Garcia, our beautiful baby girl, aged 7, was born with two complicated urological problems that were just recently diagnosed.
She has Spinning Top Eurethra

No insurance will cover this treatment.

She also has Stage 4 Reflux

My father, Dr. Casimir Firlit, was the director of pediatric urology for Children's memorial hospital and he is actually the surgeon who came up with the non invasive surgery method. He passed away very suddenly from a massive heart attck two weeks before she was diagnosed!!! what bad timing!

So at this time we need to begin the Bio Feedback, which is not covered by any insurance. She will need to do that until she is given the green light for surgery. She will have surgery at Children's Hospital, where my dad worked. Her doctor was my dad's previous resident, Dr. Chang. We are hoping to have the surgery by the end of the year.


We are not the begging type, we are proud people, and we work very hard. It's time for us to set our pride aside and do what is best for our sweet princess. She needs more help than we can provide, and we've gotten the run around from insurance.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. Due to your donations we have been able to schedule a months worth of her biofeedback appointments. Her first one was this week.
