Fando's Emergency Medical Bills
Donation protected
Woke up this morning to Fando not being able to walk on his back legs. Packed his butt up and took him to see his vet. Once there, the vet did x-rays which unfortunately didn't show anything. They believe that he could have had a spinal stroke or some sort of disc problems. The only way to find out is with a MRI and the only close by MRI machine is at NC State Vet School. Off to State we went. After a series of their tests, they too concluded that a MRI was needed. Anything to get my baby boy better. The next step is still up in the air right now with a good chance of a disc surgery in the future. Medical costs today alone have already reached $2500 not including the costs of what may come next. Not a fan of asking for money, but if anyone would like to contribute to Fando's medical fund it would be much appreciated.
For those that don't know Fando, he is an 7yo German Shepherd that I adopted last year from New Hanover County Sheriff's Office where he was a police narcotics K9. He unfortunately had to retire early due to a leaky heart valve. The vet didn't want him working and tracking and getting too hot and having the extra stress added to his heart. Now he gets to enjoy the life as a spoiled rotten house dog.
