Lopez Thanksgiving Family Fire

Donation protected
Hi everyone. I’m starting this GoFundMe page in hopes to provide some relief for my sister, brother-in-law & their 3 children whose house caught fire on Thanksgiving Day. Their names are Kelsie & Luis.

A little backstory:

In July, the family of 5 was diagnosed with COVID. They were quarantined for 5 WEEKS without work or income. Kelsie works at Parker’s Lumber in Seguin & Luis as a handyman. It was also during this time that Luis’s father was also diagnosed with COVID and unfortunately passed away.

For the next couple of months, they worked hard together to try to recover both financially & emotionally. They struggled to get school supplies & school clothes, but were able to get the kids ready for in-person learning @ SISD.

Fast forward to yesterday, Thanksgiving Day. We planned a small Thanksgiving lunch (for 8 people) due to social restrictions. We prayed and went around the table saying one thing that we were thankful for. About 10 minutes into eating Kelsie received an alarm on her phone. We stopped eating & rushed to their house - which we found on fire.

It just seems like they haven’t been able to catch a break & I’m hoping to help with that some through this page...especially with the holidays right around the corner. Several minutes before finding the house on fire, my niece had said she was thankful for “having shelter & family”. Imagine how hard it was going back to tell the kids the shelter they were thankful for had just been burned.

Not everyone can donate, but please like/share or send prayers. The money will be used for clothes and home repairs/supplies.

The family sizes are below:

Luis (33) - XL shirts, 34 pants (mens), 9.5 shoes (mens)

Kelsie (31) - L shirts (juniors), 9 pants (juniors), 7 shoes (womens)

Lana (13) - M/L shirts (juniors), 9 pants (juniors), 6 1/2-7 shoes (womens)

Lyla (8) - 14 shirts (girls), 14 pants (girls), 4 shoes (girls)

Luis III (6) - 6 shirts (boys), 6 pants (boys), 12 shoes (boys)

Thankfully, the Seguin Fire Department was able to find and save their dog inside.

The fire was determined to be electrical.

Thank you for your time & reading. ❤️
