Fire Halted My NHS Assistance

I have never asked for help before but as several people have suggested it and because I was doing my bit to help during this Corona Virus Outbreak I have decided to swallow my pride. Just a brief back story. We return from living in Canada just about 5 years ago, returning to a vastly different England than the one we left almost 20 years earlier. We both got jobs pretty quickly. Within a year, my health had deteriorated to the point I could not work. I had a Triple Heart By-Pass in Toronto General in 2000. My wife is in minimum wage, I turned to the State, for the first time ever, for help and got ZERO. 4 years later I still get ZERO. In that time I had a Heart Attack resulting in a stay at Bradford Royal Infirmary. I got a 3D Printer to try to create this to possibly sell and fund this new hobby. I joined several Groups Online and read lots of great information. As Covid-19 broke, I was watching with interest and trepidation of the events unfolding. The Italian 3D Printers started producing Face Shields and other parts for Front Line Healthcare Staff. As it arrived I realised these would be needed here. I am a very small fish in a huge Ocean. My emails to Newspapers, Local Radio even the Local MP met with no positive reaction at all. I was disgusted and disappointed. As time marched on, groups formed doing the Face Shields, I kept in touch and started producing some. Not many but a few. So here we are now, the Big PC has died, the Spare PC has gone, along with countless pieces of nuts bolts spares etc and of course the 2 Printers. We will get back and running again but it will be a very slow process, therefore any assistance would be very humbling. The final cost is unknown. But thanks to a £5 Smoke Alarm installed as overkill in that room, saved our lives and possibly my Landladies House. Thank You for reading. Kindest Regards Allan Bannister
